Solo Spotlight
Spring/Break NYC
2023

Utilizing Terracycle's waste stream materials, such as crooked teeth molds, shredded plastic, used coffee pods and eyeglass lenses. These are embedded into concrete forms as a way of ‘sequestering’ plastic.

Continuing my Monument to the Plastocene series, I made works at a summer residency at Terracycle that culminated in a New York exhibit during Armory Week at Spring/Break, Sept 2023. I was invited to exhibit a Solo Artist Spotlight.

Illuminating Perspectives: Exploring Light in Innovative Art

Representing the colors of the seven chakras, these LED lights covered in single use plastic bags that act as light gels become time capsules of consumption. Created during COVID they were created to meditate in front of.  Chakra wall7 LED lights and plastic 2021 48 x 52 in.

These columns, reminiscent of core samples reflect the geological stratifications of the earth impacted by harmful synthetic materials and a transition away from them into a sustainable future.
